Who is the international leader for the networking industry?
In the US market for home networking hardware innovation as well software utility technology, Cisco, in my opinion, they are quickly proving to be the most efficient player in the networking industry. This is especially true after the company acquired Pure Networks (creator of Network Magic); so, my questions is this:
When you hear “home networking” or “router”, what is the first company that comes to mind? How about internationally, is there a business that claims more credibility and expertise than that of Cisco? If so, what differentiates them from Cisco? What is your preferred source for home networking needs?
You are only looking at the relatively small home market. Cisco has about 80% of the worldwide networking market last I heard. The Cisco brand has not been used directly much in the home market, but through their acquisition of Linksys. Domestically and worldwide, for networking in general, it’s Cisco. For home networking I look to Linksys and Netgear.
