“business Home Work”
related to my previous question – we have opportunity for me to quit job and stay home with baby… should i?
my husband is going to apply for a 2nd job that is 20 hours a week at $13 an hour. he already works 40 hours a week at $13 an hour. right now, i am having my own business that is running terrible slow right now and i am making $100 a week at 20 hours a week. i work mornings while my husband works evenings. i do not want to do daycare. if my husband takes a 2nd part time job, he could do that in the morning then work his usual 1pm-9pm while i just stay at home. that’s atleast an extra $100 a week to what we are doing now.
on the flip side, if i hold out one more year, i can relocate my business and hopefully get more business and do o.k. with that. i can hire people and not really have to do physical “work” – just to paper work. but that could take up to 5 years.

Im not going to sit and do the math but I can tell you that my husband makes 55k a year and although its tight with all the bills (rent, utilities, vehicle payments, groceries, insurance, gas, ect.) we make it just fine with 3 kids.
I say if you can financially swing it I would go for it, I love staying home with my kids. and with a home job on the side you should be alright.
