“get Sales Leads”
Career as life insurance agent with “leads” or “pre-set” appointments.?
I’ve been seeing alot of advertisement about working as a life insurance sales agent where leads are allegedly provided for you. These so-called “pre-set” appointments is suppose to help you (the sale agent) just go in and sell without the hassle of generating your own leads. I guess my question is, is this legite? How legitimate are these “leads.” I’m also wondering if this is a good time to be getting into that field of work (given the markets and the economy today) and if it’s a lucrative field as it’s made out to be.
I have never sold life insurance, but I have sold other products with “pre-set” appointments. My experience has been that most of the appointments were worthless. Nobody home, or they didn’t need the product, or they told the person that called them not to send anybody. What a waste of time.
My opinion is that the only good appointments are the ones you set yourself.
