My Parents are Re-Marrying…. Again?
When I was 5 my parents divorced after 6 years of marriage. When I was 9 they re-married and, had my brother. They divorced again when I was 11. When I was 15 they once more became engaged but, then again ended their romance. Now I’m 18 and they are again engaged. Though I am leaving home and, will no longer have to deal with their toxic and volatile relationship, I worry about my brother.
Their relationship is toxic and they often fight and said arguments can become violent, with each throwing things. Whenever I bring this up I get “mind your own business” and “you should be happy your parents are back together.” The first time, I was. But my father is constantly moving in and out and, my mother refuses to be with him unless he lives with her and they are married. It’s not healthy for my brother to be raised in such an enviornment, right?
Am I wrong? Part of me knows they will divorce again, leading to another reconciliation followed by another break up… and so on…..
You are not wrong, their relationship is sick. They need psychiatric help.
